Purvy Shah, DMD, is a board-certified orthodontist at My Orthodontist, with an office in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, and locations around New Jersey including in Deptford Township, Lawrenceville, Medford, Bayonne, West New York, East Orange, Cherry Hill, and Paterson.

New Jersey-born and Philadelphia-raised, Dr. Shah earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, where she graduated with the highest honors. Afterward, Dr. Shah returned to Philadelphia, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. During a one-year general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, she discovered her love for orthodontics.

Spurred on by her newfound passion, Dr. Shah completed her specialty certificate in orthodontics at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York. There, she received the Herzberg Award, an honor bestowed up a graduating resident who displays the highest degree of clinical proficiency.

Today, Dr. Shah is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the New Jersey Association of Orthodontists.

In her free time, Dr. Shah loves trying new restaurants, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her family and friends.
